1. Head west on Halifax St toward Trafalgar St.

(50km speed limit in the city).

3. Continue straight onto Waimea Rd.

(50km speed limit, then will change into 70km).

4. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (almost straight ahead),

onto Whakatu Drive.  (70km speed limit).

5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (almost straight ahead)

onto State Highway 6 (signs for Richmond/Westport/Chch).

(70km then into 100km speed limit on the motorway, then back

to 50km through Richmond).

PLEASE NOTE CHANGES OF SPEED LIMIT, THROUGH

EACH SUBURB ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 6.

6. Turn left onto Edward St  (signs for Pig Valley - Wairoa Gorge).

(50km then into 80km speed limit -CAUTION! RURAL ROADS).

7. Take the 3rd right onto Church Valley Rd. 

(This road will change from tarseal into a gravel road).

PLEASE DRIVE TO THE CONDITIONS! RURAL ROADS!

8. Stick to the right to stay on Church Valley Rd.

9. Continue straight onto Pig Valley Rd.
